Sustainability is an integral part of many corporate transformations today. Topics such as ESG reporting (environmental, social, governance), CO2 footprint and sustainability of buildings, IT and supply chains are at the top of the agenda of many decision-makers in large and medium-sized companies. Therefore, in 2023 the CSCMP Roundtable Germany focused on the topic of ‘sustainability’. Now, at our first event in 2024, we will bring this theme to the finish line.
Managing Supply Chains with minimum inventories and just-in-time processes around the globe is the norm for many industries. Doing that in a sustainable manner through protecting the environment and the resources and by providing humane working conditions at all participants of the supply chain is the goal of the ESG initiative. However, in a newly forming multi-polar world, and particularly in the face of a number of crises in various regions, the question arises: is sustainability of supply chains really important enough to remain a priority on our agendas, or are companies about to reprioritize their focus somewhat away from sustainability and back to survival and profitability mode? Is it necessary or even possible to redefine and adapt the ‚ideal sustainability‘ to the new global challenges?
This topic is certainly discussed intensively and sometimes controversially and emotionally in your environment. We offer you the opportunity to hear experts and practitioners talk about their own approaches and experiences and to talk to you about opportunities and challenges in the concrete implementation of sustainable solutions.
Subject matter experts from CSCMP, University of Applied Sciences (HSD) Düsseldorf, JAS Worldwide, IBM and Infosys will share their experience, do‘s and dont‘s and tips how to succeed in this so dynamically changing world. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities for questions to the speakers and networking with each other. Finally, we will take part in a physical tour of the Infosys Innovation Lab in Duesseldorf.
We look forward to welcoming you to Infosys in Duesseldorf on March 14, 2024. We are also happy to continue the tradition of having dinner the day before in an informal circle.
