Sustainability Spotlight: Academic Perspectives on Navigating Complexities in Modern Supply Chain Management
November 28 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmKostenlos
Supply chains are expected to be efficient, effective, and, of course, profitable for the companies involved. However, in today’s world, this is no longer sufficient. The sustainability of supply chains has taken a prominent place in public discourse and among decision-makers in companies. Supply chains must meet the requirements for climate protection, working conditions, societal and cultural considerations, as well as resource conservation. There are corresponding regulatory requirements that formulate incentives and obligations for companies.
In ’normal‘ times, this already presents a novel challenge for many participants in supply chains. But the last 2-3 years have been anything but ’normal‘. Honestly, is sustainability still so crucial when it comes to the survival of a company post-covid? Or when de-risking with China? Or amid uncertainties related to sometimes warlike conflicts in various regions of the world?
Let’s take a closer look together at the current state of sustainability in supply chains. The CSCMP Roundtable Germany invites you to a virtual event on November 28, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
